Published: April 19, 2010 NEW YORK (AP) - Facebook is revamping users profiles to emphasize the pages for bands, books and businesses that millions have become fans of on the world's largest online social network Currently, users can list their activities, interests favorite music and TV shows as part of their profiles But links to Facebook "pages" for wine, your loca ibrary or the Lakers basketball team would appear n a separate section lower down Beginning Monday, Facebook will start prompting users to essentially combine the two. So if you listed profile, Facebook will now ask you to join his page, if profile, Facebook will now ask you to join his page, if you haven't become a fan of it already You'll be able to hide this connection on your profile but your name will still be listed on the Johnny Cash page as one of the 1.2 million "people who like this- what Facebook.

Where can I post my WIDGET!!!!

1. Myspace - This social network gets over 40 billion page views per month.  If you don't have a music page its ok.  Its much easier to embed the Melody Widget into a page that is PUBLIC and not a music page.  You can place your widget at the top of your site using the modules layout in the customization part of your personal myspace page.

2. Facebook - Rapidly becoming the most used social network, the Melody Widget is one of the few widgets that will actually load and play your music without having to leave the social networking site.  Unlike Myspace, your fans do need an account to see your widget and purchase your music.

3. Blog anyone? - Google's Blogspot is the easiest and fastest way to get your Melody Widget to your fans.  The subdomain is free and you can create a mini site in under 30 minutes. Keep in mind that there are numerous sites that show you how to get your blog listed into space Google's search engine with one month so your name and band can become known quite fast

4. Myspace Comments Field - This ties to number one but its a good place to leave your music.  You can embed the ENTIRE WIDGET into your friends comments space.  Do you ever get those annoying "Do you like me" flash widgets? Yeah we get them too. Good thing is the same way friends embed those widgets into our comments, we can leave them a Melody widget that will not only let them preview our music, but also buy right from the comments field.  When they approve the comment field, others will also be able to buy your music from the comments field as well.
